The Jaunt is a unique art project sends artists on trips all over the world in order to find new inspiration through their experiences and observations. Each artist creates an artwork from their new found inspiration which is then produced as a limited edition silkscreen print. The Jaunt was founded in 2013 and has worked with more than a 100 artists and organized exhibitions all over the world.

Designer’s Background

The Jaunt was founded by Jeroen Smeets and Jeroen acts as the project’s curator and travel planner. With a background in art ranging from Editor-In-Chief to agent and gallery owner – and a variety of jobs in between – Jeroen started The Jaunt in early 2013 after talking to artists and hearing their repeated desire to travel the world. With The Jaunt he has found a way to fulfil their dreams.
