People On Board (POB) was established on 24 April, 2012. It is a social enterprise that develops and produces fun and interesting board games for families in Hong Kong.

POB uses board games that were designed by local youths to promote creativity, to create job and training opportunities for the youth and women. Its profits will principally be reinvested back to the enterprise rather than distributed among the shareholders.

DESIGNER’S BACKGROUND

POB’s founder, Thomas Wong, realized the existence of gaps and isolation between parents and their children, and there lacked a platform or media as a bridge of communication and interactions.

Time they spend on the digital world is far more than moments their share with each other. Seeing that and being inspired by his two daughters, Thomas decided to promote board game as a helping tool for parents and children. He later created his first ever board game, “The Legend of Cheung Po Tsai” and founded People On Board.
