The American Institute of Architects (AIA) represents over 80,000 members in the US and worldwide. For more than 150 years, now comprising over 300 chapters, the AIA has been the leading professional membership association for US licensed architects, emerging professionals and allied partners in the building industry.

AIA Hong Kong is the largest international chapter of the Institute, representing its members in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region with a focus on promoting design excellence and public awareness of issues on the built environment including sustainability.

The objective of this chapter is to uphold a high standard of design, education and professional practice among its members as well as to promote the importance of architecture in society throughout this region.

In addition, AIA Hong Kong helps to foster stronger ties with The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Architectural Society of China and other professional architectural organizations in China and Asia.
