A book is like a friend. We understand the world and life, or even observe ourselves through texts, and have a deep realization of oneself that we are not alone. PMQ invites different people from design and culture sectors to recommend a book, so that you can enrich yourselves as book therapy.

Why would you recommend this book?

Pauline @The Tree Stationery: Are you tired?

All Things Bright and Beautiful are 2 local illustrators who deliver positive and encouraging messages via their drawings in the form of postcards, mini books, etc. Recently, they have launched a mini book series – “To…”; and one of them is “Tired Storybook”.

In these days, most people in Hong Kong and in fact all over the world, are so worn down by the covid-19 pandemic. Everything seems to be so out of control and our days and future become so uncertain. Worries and anxieties just tired us out as we strive to keep ourselves and our lives in shape everyday.

This “Tired Storybook” inspires you on ways how to refresh yourself, e.g. enjoy being “alone”, talk yourself up, and be with your friends and let them walk with you…simple yet practical and effective. Together with pages of colorful drawings, your heaviness and tiredness will be lifted away.
