“Leaving home, going on wanders, waking up not knowing where I am.
“Come back, come back to me”, a voice is calling.
Determined to set my feet again on the streets and alleys of the city that I once knew and feel so foreign now.
I become a flaneur, rediscovering, learning, and understanding this place where I was raised. ”
- Craig Au Yeung
PMQ Taste Library curator Craig Au-Yeung who has spent much of his teenage years in the Sham Shui Po district. From passing by the Shek Kip Mei resettlement area on his way to school everyday, to exploring the local style of living around Yen Chow Street and Ap Liu Street area, all these existing or vanishing places and landmarks are still engraved vividly in Craig’s memory.
Come to join us and listen to Craig’s sharing on how the district of Sham Shui Po has been changing for the past decades.
If you have something about Sham Shui Po that you would love to share, please come and tell us about it!
