【Revealing the stories behind sake making】
Sake is more than just a type of beverage. Indeed, sake has over 2000 years of history and it is gaining more and more popularity in the world in recent years. Sake-making requires tremendous effort and labor, and it is absolutely an art. On June 28, PMQ Taste Library will be collaborating with the professional sake distributor 「Cella Masumi Asia Limited」, and host The Birth of Saké Movie Screening and Tedorigawa Sake tasting and sharing session. The documentary film, which was directed by Erik Shirai, explores how sake is handcrafted at a family-owned Japanese brewery named Tedorigawa.
The brewery’s sixth-generation heir, Mr. Yasuyuki Yoshida, will also be here and share to everyone what sake means to his family and his life.
A tasting session will be followed after the movie screening. 「Cella Masumi Asia Limited」 will bring four different types of sake to Taste Library, including two that has never been sold in Hong Kong before. If you would love to learn how the traditional Japanese sake culture, don’t miss this opportunity!
