The once flourishing textile industry in Hong Kong fostered a group of garment making expertise. Yet after the relocation of textile industry to Mainland China, many of these workers lost their jobs and failed to make a living. In 2006, Splendid Fashion was founded, to help these workers get back to the scene.

With a studio opened in San Po Kong and Ngau Tau Kok, Splendid provided job opportunities for experienced garment workers, through which they can rebuild confidence, and maintain a connection with society with the new generations.
