Waka Artisans is honoured to announce Exhibition featuring the photographic works of a Japanese photographer, Chikura Shino. ‘Present’ is the work at the intersection of the lives of her daughters and her. For the exhibition, we will also be showing a dimension of craftsmanship to the photographs as they will be specially printed on traditional, handmade washi paper. This unique printing technique allows for the highest quality digital prints on the rough surfaces of the washi.

Balancing a dynamic career as a photographer and brand management specialist with the everyday joys of motherhood, Shino lives a vivid and active life in the suburbs of Tokyo. Her talent as a photographer draws from these everyday experiences, capturing those precious little moments that many of us forget to notice.
