(Hong Kong, 4 February, 2015) Aberdeen Street Social celebrates Shrove Tuesday in quintessential British style with specially crafted pancakes – available for one day and one day only. Friends and family can rendezvous at the social hub on 17 February to sample these homemade tasty treats throughout the day.

Chef Chris Whitmore says, “Shrove Tuesday was a huge tradition for my family. My mother and I would spend all morning in the kitchen fiddling with measurements to produce the perfect batter. I am thrilled to be giving Hong Kong’s sweet-toothed customers something to socialise over – it’s great to be able to spread this tradition to Hong Kong.”
Chef Chris Whitmore and his innovative team have whisked together pancakes to rival the most outstanding flat cakes at only $88 per dish. Shrove Tuesday celebrants can devour Pancakes with JAAL gelato (their hugely popular chocolate), sliced bananas, gianduja and chocolate crunchy bits. Or, if you don’t need a chocolate fix, Pancakes with fresh berries with a choice of any gelato from Sweet Social’s menu.

Guests are invited to participate in this centuries-old tradition on 17 February.
