Kintsugi 金繼ぎ is the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.

This workshop will teach the basics of mending broken ceramics using the traditional methods of ‘kintsugi’ – with real lacquer and your choice of gold or silver.

Beginners are expected to participate in at least three classes, in order to learn the principle steps.

Workshop Fee:
$1500 (including three classes, all necessary tools and ingredients)

*Please submit any photos of broken ceramics that you would like to repair in advance. Additional broken pieces will be available on site and sold by the piece.
