“KAMENOZOKI” CRAFTSMANSHIP OF BUSHU

Bushu indigo dyeing, a time-honored tradition in Japan, spanning over a century.

Using natural indigo, the craft of dyeing yarn is incorporated into clothing and everyday items that fit modern lifestyles. We also introduce other craftsmanship from the same Bushu region.

“甕覗き Kamenozoki” refers to one of the lightest indigo colors, as if the yarn or fabric is gently peeking into the indigo vat. It is also a color of hope, symbolizing the beginning of something new.

Why not take a look yourself and see what new beginnings might emerge from here?
