About GreenGate

GreenGate is a Danish design company and was founded in 1991 by Mona and Jesper Bjørn Christiansen. GreenGate was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011 and 2012 and Best Managed family company in 2012. For eight consecutive years, GreenGate has been nominated as one of the fastest growing Danish companies by a leading Danish financial newspaper. Currently GreenGate is represented in more than 70 countries around the world. The foundation for all GreenGate’s new collections stem from a series of antique French pattern books with meticulous collections of hand painted patterns. More than a hundred years later, GreenGate’s designers re-open these books and bring them back to life, using contemporary colour ways, printing techniques and textiles. GreenGate’s designers start every collection with a mood board and combine the old designs from the pattern books with modern elements. Each collection consists of 500-600 products divided into five colour stories that can be mixed and matched according to each customer ’s personal style.
