Korean cuisine never disappoints. It’s colorful, flavorful and almost magical that it always makes you asking for more. This November, “Foreign Taste” is introducing some of the best regional taste sensations from Korea in collaboration with Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong for Festive Korea. In early October, Andy Dark, curator of PMQ Taste Library traveled to Busan – the second largest city in South Korea surrounded by mountains, rivers and sea, and, apparently, a seafood paradise for foodies! From local dishes such as Hweh (thin slices of raw fish), tofu stew and grilled eel at restaurants, to numerous choices of indulgent street food and delicious desserts at classy cafes, Busan’s specialties impress countless visitors including Andy himself.
In this session of “Foreign Taste”, Andy will talk about his 4-day food journey in Busan. Korean chef Yong Soo Do from Busan will also be here to share his view on Korean food culture. Participants will be able to enjoy a small bowl of Milmyeon (Busan-style cold noodle) prepared by Andy after the sharing. So if you wish to learn more about Korean food culture and the must-eat dishes there, do not miss the coming session of “Foreign Taste”!
