【Don’t let treasured family recipes disappear with time】
Now as a cooking enthusiast and nutritionist, Sue indeed did not have much interest towards food when she was young. Growing up in a poor and traditional Chiuchow family, which has a very patriarchal culture, she considered her childhood was not that cheerful. That is the reason she has never enthused over her mother’s cooking nor the traditional Chiuchow dishes.
Nevertheless, as time goes by, she finds the taste of Chiuchow food is the only linkage between her and her parents, after they have passed away. Although she tried every single Chiuchow restaurant in town, the taste would never be close to the one her mother made at home.
Even though Sue did not learn cooking from her mother, she will show everyone two traditional festive dishes, Baked Taro with Rice and Minced Pork with Savory Dumplings, in this Family Recipes Workshop, along with more stories between her and her family.
Only limited seats available, Register NOW!
