Chiuchow women are known for their diligence and how family-oriented they are. Chuichow cuisine is famous for its diversity, from cold fishes to seafood, and even dessert. Lili has many friends who are Chiuchow descent, and she personally is in love with the cuisine as well. Since she has been in charged of this Family Recipes program, she received quite a lot of supports from the audience. Some of them always attend the workshops, and Ida is one of them.
Ida has seven siblings and all are raised up just by her mother. Her mother is also a fantastic cook and that’s why Lili seized this opportunity, and invited both Ida and her mother to demonstrate two classic Chiuchow family dishes, Braised Chicken with Puning Bean Paste and Mung Bean Sweet Soup. You don’t want to miss this as well!
When you are feeling lonely and distressed, the warm flavours of home will become exceptionally nostalgic. Needless to say, there are stories and memories behind home-cooked meals. Starting from November, Ms Lili Ho, former DJ and programme producer at Hong Kong Commercial Radio, will be the new host at PMQ Taste Library’s Family Recipes Workshops every Sunday! Sign up now before the class is full!
Language: Conducted mainly in Cantonese
