Apple is red, pear is green, banana is yellow…these associations have been linked up in our cognitive recognition to the world, but have you ever quested is it the only truth?
Sometimes, we are too bound in a stereotyped world where brewing creative ideas are inadvertently hindered by our presumed judgment. Living in this bound world, it is crucial we still hold the encouragement to dig the unknown, break the tradition, and put down our social norms. Our creative workshop “From De-construction to Re-construction”will take you a journey with us to explore revolutionary ideas!
Here we bring you a local creative duo, formed by two designers, Soilwarm Lai and Mic Leong, who manipulate paper in an ingenious way. Started with paper folding, through transforming two-dimension to three-dimension platform, they demonstrate how we could put aside social stereotype and express our uniqueness within. It resembles childhood origami games; the process of deconstruction to reconstruction may help recall or bury our scattered memory pieces; and we feel re-born afterwards.
Most phenomenal creative ideas are provoked by non-traditional thought, why not we jump out our comfort zone to unleash our unknown creativity now!
