Yeah!Nah! Gallery is set to challenge the art world during Hong Kong Art Week with its innovative approach to curation. Inspired by the concept from Shanghai in 2018, this pop-up gallery empowers visitors to become curators and decide on the artwork that will be showcased. The winning pieces will then progress to a final exhibition in six months’ time, providing artists with an unprecedented platform for exposure and recognition.

Embracing both popular and lesser-known works, Yeah!Nah! Gallery attempts to decentralise the traditional gallery canon, giving voice to diverse artistic perspectives. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to shape the future of curation – experience Yeah!Nah! Gallery during Hong Kong Art Week.

Featured Highlights
Muskater

A mummified ex-skater is brought back to life to roam the earth in a post-apocalyptic world. Muskater can perform any skate trick because he has no fear of dying, as he is already dead! One drawback is that it’s lonely being invisible. This is an original hand drawn comic book by Rhys Turner.

Insane Care Posse

Born from a world of toxic positivity, the Insane Care Posse is a statement on the human risks of blind obsession. As a lack of criticism becomes common practice, the Posse find themselves in the darkest corners of human existence, reminding us that reality checks are the only thing keeping us from our societal degradation.

Playscape

Playscape is a collaborative scroll made by Amber Ng Wing Yan and Peter A C Nelson. Ng used motion capture to visualise the movements of children as they played in her local park and Nelson 3D modelled a fantastical playground. Together, they used an XY drawing plotter with black and rainbow pens to transform this into a unique scroll.

This is an AI artwork of a Ramen Baby. Large data set of ramen soup was used with an input of the famous oil painting to create this AI artwork.
