We design and create timeless objects that engage the senses and evoke a bit of magic. From lighting to speakers — and with more to come — our goal is to create unexpected, high-quality pieces for your home and wherever else life takes you.

From the beginning, Lumio set out to improve how we live. Our creations combine forward-thinking technology with time-honored craftsmanship. Through touch, sound, sight or scent, our creations engage your senses and leave you feeling more…human.

DESIGNER’S BACKGROUND

Founded by Max Gunawan in 2012, Lumio started in a tiny workshop in San Francisco. At the beginning, Lumio was created simply out of his desire to create an object that was beautiful and surprising, something functional and…joyful.

That project grew into an award-winning bestseller, sold in more than 200 retailers across 30-plus countries. Lumio has featured prominently in the New York Times, countless design publications, as well as New York’s Museum of Modern Art. It has won numerous awards, from Red Dot’s “Best of the Best”" to Good Design Awards.
