The exhibition highlights the design strategy of Point – Line – Network in a Hakka village in rural Hong Kong, adopting measures of Acupuncture, Adaptive-reuse and Addition. By showcasing a series catalyst architecture from Kuk Po Village, the exhibition illustrates different methods of design interventions for village common, plaza, eco-toilet and the ruin garden responding to their specific contexts. Parallelly, the exhibition demonstrates the significance of research and building processes in design, addressing type, fabric, tectonic and tactile, as well as community and their social processes. Through models, diagrams and mappings, as well as photo images, videos and material mock-ups, the exhibition integrates architecture with landscape, planning and construction, sharing and exploring design strategies in rural villages.
