In the history of mankind, very few ideas are as widely shared as the division of nature into 4 basic elements: Air, Water, Fire and Earth.

Ancient and extremely distant cultures, the Greeks, the Maoris, the Incas, the Maya.., have learnt to venerate and respect them.

Starting from universal thought and using a gradually less abstract vision of the 4 Elements, the exhibition project would bring the visitor by showing how the +1, man and/or his work interact with them.

The natural elements are an integral part of everyday life and, in addition to any philosophical insights, play a simple but fundamental role in our existence.

The apparent dissonance in the shapes, sizes and very materiality of the pictures that the visitor will experience is deliberate and strongly intended.

This apparent disharmony between the images is intended to reproduce, allegorically, the Chaos of nature that always manages to rebalance itself.

The photographic project developed over 11 years, searching for images that could consistently reproduce this journey of the mind through the 4+1.

It starts with macro photos, which initially represent concepts in a very abstract way, and then going towards less abstract images that are more easily assimilated to the concepts themselves.
