Jack Law and Elliot Nicholas, founders of Wingman, share one great dream: to build the first and finest restaurant dedicated to chicken wings in town.
And this dream is coming to fruition at the upcoming concept restaurant at PMQ Taste Kitchen, Hong Kong first-ever food and beverage incubation program, from December 11 to January 13.
First Wings Specialist In Hong Kong
Born in Japan and worked at various restaurants in Hong Kong, Elliot has been passionate about cooking as much as he is about eating. But it wasn’t until he met Jack — the serious wing-eater — five years ago, that the idea of Wingman was born.
Seeing chicken wings as one of the most coveted soul foods around the world, Jack and Elliot were much surprised by the fact that there was still no dedicated wing restaurant in Hong Kong. The duo, therefore, founded Wingman in 2018 after planning for the last three years.
Wingman, a delivery-only wing specialist, serves globally inspired wings from the classic USA Buffalo Wings to the Cantonese-style Hoisin Sauce Glazed Wings.
The dedicated wing specialist has won critical acclaim on popular online delivery platforms ever since.
Now, with expert guidance from restaurateurs Caleb and Josh Ng of Twins Kitchen, and backed by sponsorship and full incubator support from PMQ Taste Kitchen, Wingman’s team will run their debut restaurant and put their best wings forward for Taste Kitchen’s diners from December 11 to January 13.
Wings Restaurant: A New Social Hangout
“We want to create a social spot at Taste Kitchen, people coming together with their friends to drink and share chicken wings. Somewhere fun and inviting! We want people to come back not only because of the wings, but also the atmosphere,” says Jack Law, founder of Wingman.
Wingman believes that chicken wings are a simple pleasure that brings people together — that is the reason behind their eye-catching name, too.
“At Taste Kitchen, we can finally elaborate on our current menu that is designed for delivery only. Having the equipment and space, we can showcase our full menu which is American/Asian fusion,” says Jack.
The carefully crafted and straightforward menu features an exciting selection of chicken wings and secret sauces that reflect the founders’ heritage. Drawing inspirations worldwide, especially from Japan and Southeast Asia, the menu includes an equally desirable selections of sides and appetizers.
