This workshop will introduce students to the process of lost wax casting and to the use of soft wax combined with hard wax, with the inclusion of semiprecious and hard stones. The focus is to question the possibility of melting the wax into metal directly with the stones inside. It will be important to understand wich stones tolerate the high temperature exposure and how do they react. Students will complete one ring with semi-precious stones.

Finished Product: One silver ring with semi-precious stone. Students will be able to come collect their newly silver cast rings after 2-3 days at Loupe.
