‘Making Clay the Everyday’ × Curatorial Statement
Industrialised ceramics have increasingly eliminated the need for handmade wares. Despite this, a group of five young Hong Kong ceramists view their handmade pottery as an important tool for accessing the most fundamental and beautiful aspects of daily life: enjoying and sharing.
The potters tell their stories by creating artistic visual languages – the sharing of food, drinks and beautiful things allowing people to enrich and develop their relationships.
