Ever thought of looking inside what we wear underneath our latest fashionable items?
How do we wear our bodies, and our emotions?
This workshop is about exploring what we wear to the outside world everyday, as much as how we fashion ourselves underneath our skins, e.g. emotions and thoughts we wear inside each of us. The approach of this workshop will be through various relax and fun exercises but yet revealing of how much you can communicate and express between what we wear inside and how we express it outside…
Bio:
Dr. Maggie Hui currently teaches at the School of Architecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was chosen as the visiting scholar at Harvard-Yenching Institute at Harvard University in 2012-13. Her research focuses on the humanity aspect in our everyday living spaces together with our architectural experience. Since 2013, she has also started to develop method through expressive art to visit our inner space, from our birth while we were still in our mother’s womb to our present everyday lives. Her approach combines drawings, movement and sound as a way to venture our inner private space which we seldom look into.
No prior drawings skill is required.
This workshop will be in Cantonese.
