About the exhibition:
“Framing the Border” is a joint art exhibition organized by four local artists who would like to raise the concept of “Frames” around us.
What are “Frames”? “Framing” can be an abstract concept or it can be common realistic objects and situations in daily life.
In this exhibition we explore ‘framing’ as a complex metaphoric concept. Through representations in different media, namely paintings, flowers and installations, we interrogate and confront the concept’s contradictory and multiple manifestations.
We would like to engage the public, interact and reflect with them on this subject. We hope to highlight that the consequences of ‘frames’ are real and complex, affecting all of us on a multitude of levels, from single individuals to our society as a whole.
A grand opening will be held on 12th August at 6pm. Four artists will have discussion and sharing with the visitors.
