Used is the new New Let’s zero all the waste

Christmas is around the corner, what’s your Christmas Wish? For all of us here at Team Go Cup, our wish is to invite you to join us and experience a Christmas Market that is free of disposables and filled with the appreciation of the used.

With the sponsorship of Standard Chartered Hong Kong 150th Anniversary Community Foundation, Go Cup is co-organising Christmas Zero Mart 2.0 with PMQ. Let’s replace disposables with reusables, so as to rekindle our appreciation for existing and used items instead of over-consumption.

Christmas Zero Mart 2.0 is a plastic packaging free market, and everyone is encouraged to bring their shopping bags. You can also use your own reusbale cups and utensils to enjoy all the vegetarian food and unique drinks designed for this market. There will also be Go Cups, culteries and plates provided by WeUse. Last but not least, a washing station will be set up for you to rinse your containers and utensils, should you feel like getting a second helping at the food and beverage counters. We aim to reduce the usage of disposables to zero.

The core theme of the market is to treasure everything around us, be it the grass and branches in nature, the long forgotten used items, or even those “less than perfect looking” food.. Driven with creativity and passion, our stalls’ partners will transform them into treasure. Various workshops will also be hosted for you to experience the same transformation as well.

The market set up will be made with used or reusable items only. Oh, and don’t forget to make your Christmas wish and share your love at our “Your wish can come true wall,” which is made of over 200 re-purposed soda cans.
