To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the local social enterprise – Fair Taste (公平棧) and to further promote the concept as well as the product of fair trade, FAIRTASTE(細味公平) as their sub-brand has first extended to the Food & Beverage business. By joining forces with Hong Kong’s first restaurant incubation program – Taste Kitchen, created by PMQ and Twins Kitchen, FAIRTASTE will be exploring more possibilities in the culture of fair trade. The pop-up café, ‘Cafair • Taste’, will open in PMQ Taste Kitchen starting from April, serving locally roasted organic fair trade coffee.

With the assistance and guidance from the famous F&B consultancy – Twins Kitchen, FAIRTASTE is able to work as a compound operation by combining F&B, workshop, exhibition and retail experience all in one space. Customers can taste the culture of fair trade from all aspects and experience an innovative dining experience with the finest products by FAIRTASTE.

‘Fair Taste’ in Specialty Coffee: Presenting the New Collection of FAIRTASTE PREMIUM – Specialty Coffee
During the pop-up period, there will be a launch of the new specialty coffee collection – FAIRTASTE PREMIUM Specialty Coffee. Coffee beans from FAIRTASTE PREMIUM Series are sourced from different fair trade regions, including Papua New Guinea, Columbia, Congo and Rwanda. The coffee beans from Papua New Guinea are ranked 88 points by coffee grader. To brew the specialty coffee for drinkers with various tasting profiles, coffee beans are roasted by local roasters and made in the ‘Fair Ladies Food Factory’ from FAIRTASTE. There will be freshly brewed coffee and limited signature drinks created by the baristas of ‘Cafair • Taste’. Through collaborating with the artistic cake baker Manci from M Patisserie, she will be baking delicate cakes with ingredients from FAIRTASTE. It will definitely be a memorable coffee journey for you!

‘Cafair • Taste’ pop-up café will open from 13 April – 12 May, 2019. Starting from 19 April, there will be a series of workshops and sharings held over the four weekends. With the various themes of workshops, people will be able to understand the culture of fair taste. Moreover, it can encourage the public to support fair trade and shop with a conscience. The general public will be able to join mini games on FAIRTASTE’s Facebook page and redeem a small gift.
