In conjunction with Women’s Day in March, three Japanese female painters with different styles, Alaya, Tamaju and Yachiyo, will come to Hong Kong to exhibit their works.
Alaya
She works primarily in solo and group exhibitions, but also creates murals, site drawings, and book cover illustrations. After graduating from college, she studied under a Tibetan Buddhist painter in Nepal.
She also lectures and writes about his experiences searching for religious art both at home and abroad. She spent his childhood in France and at the age of three decided to become a painter. Her grandfather is Taiwanese.
She continues to create contemporary art with free interpretation, based on traditional Japanese painting techniques, the sense of color learned in various Asian countries, and the theme of hymns to life with Buddhist roots. Graduated from Tama Art University with a degree in Japanese painting.
Isayama Tamaju
Inspired by ancient Japanese themes, her works are created while focusing on and paying attention to the “beauty of lines” cultivated in the Orient and Japan. It expresses the fantasies fostered in Japan.
Student from Osaka. Lives in Kyoto. During her university entrance examination, she participated in various periodical dramas such as the sliding door at the Toei Kyoto photography station. After becoming independent in 2015, she has mainly expanded his activities such as temples and shrines in Kyoto, regular publication works, advertising media, and recently on-site painting.
Yachiyo
Fluid art began because of an interest in patterns with fluid movement.
The concept behind her work is moments of flow, inspiration and explosion.
she started creating in 2021 and won the 2nd ARK Art Award Judges Special Award the following year.
she held his first solo exhibition in 2024 and is a very popular Japanese artist.
